SolX Technologies and Kratos RES, Inc. Deliver 25% Electricity Savings for Primepack Technologies

Calamba, Laguna — Primepack Technologies Inc., located in Carmelray Industrial Park II, is a leading packaging manufacturer offering end-to-end solutions, from product design to mass production, for global brands in the consumer electronics, data storage, semiconductor, automotive, and medical sectors. The company has achieved a 25% reduction in electricity costs, equivalent to millions in annual savings, through a strategic partnership with SolX Technologies and Kratos RES, Inc., a licensed Retail Electricity Supplier (RES).

In November 2023, Primepack switched from its local distribution utility to Kratos RES, Inc., a move facilitated by SolX Technologies’ digital energy procurement platform and energy managers. This enabled the company to evaluate offers from top RES in the Philippines, secure more competitive electricity rates, and gain greater control over its energy sourcing—an essential advantage for high-consumption industrial operations.

Primepack Embraces Smarter Energy Management

Building on these cost savings, Primepack expanded its partnership with SolX Technologies in June 2025 by deploying the proprietary XLink device, along with a two-year subscription to the Smart Energy Monitoring (SEM) app. This solution provides real-time, app-based visibility into electricity consumption across individual machines and departments, empowering Primepack to make data-informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen energy governance.

“We have an existing web-based monitoring system for our solar setup, but for overall energy consumption, we still rely on manually reading our meters,” said Lhar Aldrix Violanta, IT Specialist at Primepack Technologies.

“That’s what we’re missing—a tool that, with just one glance, provides actual and real-time insights into each machine’s daily consumption. Since it’s app-based, it allows us to monitor usage more effectively.

Moving forward, we aim to improve operations and explore system integration across all areas. Most importantly, we have a dedicated energy manager focused on RA11285 compliance, and your smart monitoring solution will help streamline our reporting to the DOE.”

The newly deployed system also supports Primepack’s internal energy audit and reporting requirements under the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (RA11285). As part of this initiative, SolX Technologies will guide Primepack’s team in navigating the platform, ensuring they can fully utilize its features for compliance, reporting, and long-term energy optimization.

By combining Kratos RES’s competitive electricity supply with SolX Technologies’ integrated digital energy solutions, Primepack has adopted a forward-looking power strategy that delivers both immediate savings and long-term value, improving operational visibility, sustainability, and overall cost efficiency across its facility.
